Tomal Bowe, 33, is facing 4 charges at Monday’s arraignment

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A wanted fugitive out of the Bahamas, who is accused of fleeing from a traffic stop and leading St. Johns County deputies on two high-speed chases earlier this month, is set to be arraigned on Monday afternoon.

Tomal Bowe, 33, is charged with felony fleeing and eluding, grand theft auto, resisting without violence, possession of marijuana and multiple out-of-county warrants.

He is expected to plead not guilty at his court appearance on Monday.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Bowe led deputies on two vehicle chases before running on foot into a wooded and marshy area, sparking an hours-long manhunt that ended in his arrest.

Deputies said the incident began when Bowe sped away from a traffic stop, driving the wrong way on I-95, crossing all lanes.

Video captured by a News4JAX viewer shows the driver that police say is Bowe driving into oncoming traffic on a busy I-95.

Authorities said that after a successful PIT maneuver to stop his vehicle, Bowe ran on foot, stole a van and again sped away down International Golf Parkway toward U.S. 1.
