Shoppers scramble to grab up groceries in final hours before stores close for Christmas holiday
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Last-minute Christmas dinner shopping was in full swing Wednesday morning.
From pre-made meals to grab-and-go sides, shoppers were filling carts fast in the final hours before many stores closed for the holiday.
Roasts are definitely on the menu at many local homes, with shelves wiped clean of beef rib roasts at one local Publix.
Corn was still plentiful, but Brussels sprouts were gone at the store as well.
And eggnog -- another holiday favorite -- was selling fast too.
