Florida Theatre ranks No. 5 worldwide in tickets sold among small venues

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville’s Florida Theatre ranked No. 5 worldwide among theaters with up to 2,000 seats, according to the 2025 year-end report by trade magazine Pollstar.

In addition, the Florida Theatre was ranked 45th in attendance worldwide, according to the report.

The Jacksonville Daily Record compiled the list of the top five venues up to 2,000 seats, ranked by tickets sold:

3 Olympia Theatre: 1,300 seats in Dublin; 293,811 tickets; $12,839,359 gross revenue

Teatro Telcel: 2,000 seats in Mexico City; 284,394 tickets; $22,911,869 gross revenue

Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall: 1,874 seats in Fort Myers; 216,392 tickets; $16,214,781 gross revenue

Capitole Gent: 1,600 seats in Ghent, Belgium; 188,120 tickets; $7,529,634 gross revenue

Florida Theatre: 1,865 seats in Downtown Jacksonville; 184,803 tickets; $8,378,327 gross revenue

“As a 98-year-old theatre, it proves that history and innovation can thrive together. In addition, it speaks to the passion of our audiences, the strength of our programming, and the enduring role this historic theatre continues to play in the Jacksonville community,” Kevin Stone, interim president and vice president of programming at the Florida Theatre, said in a news release Tuesday.
