Noely Makenda, 21, was found dead in the front yard of an Orange Park home along with Jordyn Forrestier, 20, on Dec. 17 by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect was identified as 22-year-old Taylor Marques Lomax, a member of the U.S. Navy from Birmingham, Alabama.

Makenda’s family organized a GoFundMe to support them through their loss.

“Noely was a beautiful soul —full of love, light, and promise. Her smile, laughter, and presence brought warmth to our lives, and she will forever remain in our hearts. No words can truly express the pain we are feeling during this unimaginable time," the official GoFundMe post reads in part.
