A little ‘stitious’: Jaguars fan refuses to take down Halloween decoration because they keep winning

Callahan homeowner says they started winning after he put it up, and it won’t come down until they lose

CALLAHAN, Fla. – A superstitious Nassau County resident is banking on his huge yard decoration being a good luck charm for the Jaguars.

Tim Altman placed a huge skeleton -- wearing Jags gear and holding a football -- in his front yard around Halloween. But something interesting happened after he did it.

The Jacksonville Jaguars started winning... and winning... and winning.

Before Altman took the affectionately named “Skellen Quinn” down, he realized the Jags’ winning streak was still going -- so he decided not to tempt fate.

"I’m not superstitious but I’m a little ‘stitious’ and we’re winning, so I’m not going to take him down until we lose,” Tim Altman says. (WJXT)

“Well, we kept winning. I’m not superstitious, but I’m a little ‘stitious,’ and we’re winning, so I’m not going to take him down until we lose,” said Altman, who explained that the Skellen Quinn moniker came from a band years ago.

At one point, Altman posted a social media video that lit up TikTok, joking that his Homeowners’ Association was hassling him about still having the decoration up.

He clarified that it was, in fact, a joke.

“I haven’t received any letters,” Altman confirmed. “They’re a convenient punching bag. Everybody hates their HOA. I put that on there as a joke.”

So if the Jaguars win the Super Bowl, will Skellen Quinn move back to storage?

Altman said, Nope!

Skellen Quinn will stay up until the next Jaguars loss, which this diehard fan hopes is sometime next season!
