Marston has served many roles throughout his law enforcement career that started in 2008. He worked as a sergeant in patrol, investigations, and training, and has also led the department’s Special Response Team.

As an instructor in defensive tactics, firearms, and emergency vehicle operations, Marston has been instrumental in officer training and professional development. He has also served as a field training officer, providing mentorship and guidance to new officers at the start of their careers.

“Jon exemplifies the leadership, vision, and commitment to community safety that the department, City, and residents expect,” Michaux said. “I am confident he will lead the department with integrity and accountability.”
