JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The good times keep on rolling for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Ahead of a pivotal Wild Card matchup against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, quarterback Trevor Lawrence and kicker Cam Little were honored by the NFL with AFC Player of the Month honors for their performance over the last few weeks of the regular season.

The recognition is the cherry on top of a season that ended with an eight-game winning streak, which led to the team winning the AFC South division for the third time in franchise history, and its first playoff berth since 2022.

It also marks the first time in franchise history that two Jaguars players have won the award in the same month, which is something that hasn’t happened since 2023, when Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and cornerback DaRon Bland took home the awards.

For Lawrence, the award caps what has arguably been the greatest stretch of play during his time in the NFL. According to the Jaguars, the quarterback has led the team to a 5-0 record since the start of December, completing 64% of his passes for nearly 1,400 yards (1,371), 13 touchdowns to go along with 124 rushing yards and four more scores.

The passing yards and passing touchdown numbers were tops in the AFC during December, and the other numbers were all within the top six among AFC signal callers.

Additionally, Lawrence made NFL history with his Week 15 performance against the Jets, becoming the only player to account for at least five passing touchdowns, 300 passing yards, a rushing TD, and 50 rushing yards in one game.

He also set franchise records for most total touchdowns in a single season (38) while surpassing the 4,000-yard mark in passing yards for the third time in his career.

Little’s performance in the final games of the season was also historic, with the kicker setting the record for the longest outdoor field goal in NFL history with his 67-yarder before halftime in Week 18 against the Titans.

He also went a perfect 11-11, including 3/3 on kicks over 50 yards, during December and currently holds the NFL’s longest active streak of consecutive field goals made (20).

Jacksonville now has 14 player of the month awards in its entire history, with the 12th occurring earlier in the season when linebacker Devin Lloyd was given the award.
