JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man died and another was critically injured in a shooting Sunday afternoon on Jacksonville’s Southside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
According to JSO, around 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a shooting on Beachwood Boulevard.
When police arrived, they found two men who had been shot, one of them fatally.
Police said the other man was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
JSO said “multiple people” were detained, and detectives were still working to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Police did not identify the men who were shot.
