JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 77-year-old inmate at the Duval County Jail died at a hospital on Sunday, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
The sheriff’s office identified the inmate as William Miller Jr. and announced his death on Monday.

According to JSO, Miller began showing signs of illness related to pre-existing cardiac issues weeks after his Nov. 4, 2025, arrest.
JSO said Miller was arrested on the following charges:
- Soliciting a Child via Computer
- Transmission of Material Harmful to a Minor
- Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device
JSO said medical personnel at the jail evaluated Miller on Nov. 11 and determined he needed to be taken to a hospital for continued treatment.
He died on Sunday, but the cause of death was not immediately available.
The JSO Cold Case Unit is investigating the death as a natural death, based on findings from the Medical Examiner’s Office, JSO said.
