YULEE, Fla. – A man from Yulee has been arrested for his role in a road rage incident that took place about two months ago, according to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say that Jesse Robin Compton, 33, faces charges for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and firing a gun into a vehicle, which occurred last November on Miner Road in Yulee.

The agency said that its investigation revealed that the victim of Compton’s assault was driving on the roadway when they stopped for a turtle that was crossing the street.
The victim told police that Compton pulled up behind their vehicle and “angrily” passed. They continued to tell police that a few moments later, Compton slowed down and brake-checked them, which caused their vehicle to hit the tow hitch on Compton’s vehicle.
Witnesses told police that Compton then allegedly backed his vehicle into the victim’s car, exited his SUV, and fired a gun toward the victim’s car, hitting it once on the rear left side.
In a video taken on the day of the incident by a witness, Compton can be heard saying his daughter was in his vehicle, which Nassau County detectives later confirmed, the sheriff’s office said.
Compton was booked into jail on a bond exceeding $20,000.
