Two people were injured Thursday in a crash on State Road A1A in Ponte Vedra Beach.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 36-year-old woman was driving a sedan south on A1A.

When she went to make a left turn onto Country Club Boulevard, a 47-year-old man in a sports utility vehicle, driving north on A1A, crashed into the passenger side of the sedan.
The impact caused the sedan to run off the road and hit a light pole, then overturn into a ditch.
According to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s office, the road was closed in both directions at TPC Blvd, as of 5:30 p.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol and St. Johns County Fire Rescue was also on the scene.
The woman suffered critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital in a helicopter. The other driver sustained serious injuries, according to FHP.
