JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said on Thursday evening that two men were found dead earlier in the day in Springfield.
Police said the two men, believed to be in their 20s, were found unresponsive outside a home on Washington Street around 4 p.m.

Jacksonville Fire Rescue responded and declared the men dead at the scene.
JSO said it appeared the men had been shot, but did not confirm details surrounding their deaths as the investigation is still early.
Officers believed there was no threat to the community.
Detectives are working to learn more and identify a suspect.
