Last September, Webber was killed while walking home after an after-school activity.

News4JAX spoke with her family a few months ago. They described Webber as loving, faith-filled, and full of life.

“She had a lot of energy, everybody was attracted to her, like as soon as you saw her, her eyes were everything. She was beautiful, she was smart,” Shardaw Webber said. “She was not scared; she was fearless,” Shardae Webber, Genesis’ mother, said.

According to investigators, Webber was walking along Arlington Road North when she was struck and killed.

Investigators said surveillance video captured the moments Webber was struck — showing a truck veer off the road, hit her on the sidewalk, crash through a fence, and keep going.

Detectives recovered vehicle parts at the scene and traced them back to a truck linked to Myers.

Police said Myers was already out on bond on felony charges and wearing an ankle monitor at the time.

After tracking him down, officials arrested him after finding him sleeping in his truck.

Myers is currently facing a felony charge of leaving the scene of the crash involving death.
