Jacksonville mayor to host another round of town halls addressing housing, affordable health care and other concerns

Mayor Deegan to kick off first of six community town halls to discuss city budget (City of Jacksonville)

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan is bringing back her town hall series to hear from the community about issues that shape the city.

Deegan plans to address housing, health care affordability, improving underserved neighborhoods and infrastucture and other topics.

The sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout February and March.

Here are the dates:

  • Tuesday, Feb. 3 - William Raines Senior High School, 3663 Raines Ave | 6-7:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 17 - Westside High School, 5530 Firestone Rd |6-7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Feb. 19 - Fletcher High School, 700 Seagate Ave | 6-7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Feb. 26 - Samuel W. Wolfson High School, 7000 Powers Ave | 6-7:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 3 - Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, 2445 San Diego Rd | 6-7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 12 - Mandarin High School, 4831 Greenland Rd | 6-7:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 24 - Springfield Middle School, 2034 Hubbard St | 6-7:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 31 - Fort Caroline Middle School of the Arts, 3787 University Club Blvd | 6-7:30 p.m.

The sessions are free, and no registration is required to attend.
