JSO investigating drive-thru shooting that left driver injured at Town Center McDonald’s

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting with injuries that happened at a McDonald’s at the St. Johns Town Center on Sunday night.

According to the incident report from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, five men were waiting in a car in the drive-thru line at the McDonald’s on Town Center Parkway when they noticed a man dressed in a black hoodie standing in the bushes.

According to the incident report, the men inside the vehicle became nervous, did not place an order and attempted to drive away.

Then the report said the man came out of the bushes and started shooting at the vehicle as it drove around the parking lot.

The driver was shot and immediately drove to the nearest hospital, the report said.

One witness told police that they did not know who would want to target them in a shooting.

His current condition was not known.
