Woman found dead inside Southside residence, police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a woman in her 40s was found dead inside a residence on the city’s Southside on Friday afternoon.

Police said that its officers responded to the 4000 block of Sunbeam Road for a welfare check around 12:15 p.m., and upon arrival, found the woman dead.

The agency is working with the medical examiner’s office and the State Attorney’s Office in its investigation.

Police did not classify the death, but mentioned that the woman did have some injuries, so investigators are exhausting all possible options.
