7 suspects arrested in Nassau County car theft spree

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. – Multiple people were accused of traveling to Nassau County to break into and steal cars.
The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office arrested seven suspects from Jacksonville who deputies said drove to Nassau County in two stolen cars to steal more vehicles.
"I know it sounds crazy, but it has happened before," Sheriff Bill Leeper told News4JAX. “Steal a car somewhere else, come up here, leave that car, and try to steal another car. Thankfully, we had some quick-thinking deputies and a K-9 out there to track them.”
Detectives are investigating to see if the suspects are connected to other recent car break-ins.
