Border czar holds news conference in Minneapolis as tensions rise over immigration enforcement

MINNEAPOLIS – Border Czar Tom Homan held a news conference Thursday morning in Minneapolis amid rising tensions over immigration enforcement.

President Donald Trump sent Homan to Minnesota earlier this week following the fatal shooting of two U.S. citizens: Renee Good and Alex Pretti.

Trump said he and Gov. Tim Walz were on “a similar wavelength” following a phone call earlier this week. After a conversation with Mayor Jacob Frey, the president praised the discussion and declared that “lots of progress is being made.”
