One of the three men caught on surveillance in an attempted home invasion robbery that led to a midday shootout in Northwest Jacksonville was arrested.
New details give more insight into the incident between three would-be robbers and a man inside a home on 6th Avenue on Jan. 22.
A police report obtained by the News4JAX I-TEAM showed the victim was running an illegal cannabis dispensary inside the abandoned home when three armed suspects attempted to rob him.
According to police, neighbors reported hearing gunfire on Jan. 22, and home surveillance cameras captured key moments before and after the shooting. The video showed three masked suspects dressed in black approaching the house in the middle of the day. About 25 seconds after they walked out of frame, more than a dozen gunshots could be heard.

Moments later, two of the suspects were seen running from the scene in the opposite direction, leaving a third person behind. That suspect was found shot and lying in the front yard.
The report indicates that the victim initially gave investigators a false account. He first told police that he was walking to a liquor store, stopped at an abandoned house to pee, and was then approached by three unknown men who opened fire.
Detectives said that story did not match the evidence that included blood trails found leading from inside the home, prompting a second interview.
During that interview, the victim admitted that three masked men entered the unlocked front door with guns drawn and began shooting. He told police he shot back at the men, hitting one of them. He also said he did not own the home and did not live there.
A search warrant later revealed the front room of the house had been set up as a makeshift cannabis dispensary. Investigators found multiple cameras aimed at what appeared to be a shopping area.
Surveillance video recovered from the home showed one suspect, identified as 18-year-old Noah Stewart, firing his gun at the victim. Police said the victim returned fire, and both men were shot.
It remains unclear whether detectives have identified the other two suspects seen fleeing the scene on video. The investigation is ongoing.
Stewart has been charged with attempted second-degree murder and home invasion robbery. Because he is 18 years old, he also faces an additional charge for carrying a concealed firearm.
