JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was shot Tuesday night after a hit-and-run incident near St. Johns Bluff Road, south of Atlantic Boulevard, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
Police were called around 9 p.m. to the report of a shooting in the area and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

He was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said they learned that the victim and the suspected shooter had been involved in a hit-and-run incident, and the victim followed the suspect.
At some point, JSO said, the suspect stopped, opened fire on the victim’s vehicle, and sped away.
Crime scene detectives are processing the scene, and detectives are canvassing the area for surveillance and witnesses.
