It all started last Wednesday night during the main event on AEW’s flagship show when an anti-ICE chant broke out. The participants (champ MJF & challenger Brody King) appeared to react as the announcers stopped talking, as the chant drowned out a section of the match.

The following day, the clip was everywhere online with massive media interest, and there was even a reaction from the U.S. Senate.
.@TonyKhan it’s time for @AEW to solidify a huge fan base. @sanbenito love wrestling, need him to make some appearances. Just no stretcher match please.

Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego posted this on X: "@TonyKhan It’s time for @AEW to solidify a huge fan base. @sanbenito love wrestling, need him to make some appearances. Just no stretcher match please."
“@sanbenito” is Bad Bunny’s handle on X. Bad Bunny, who’s the main performer for the Super Bowl halftime show, has a history in pro wrestling, having competed multiple times for AEW’s main competitor, WWE.
This whole issue will be discussed Tuesday night on the Going Ringside TV show which airs at 7:30 on CW-17 in Jacksonville. All episodes can also be found here on the Going Ringside YouTube channel.
So far, there’s been no word from AEW on whether they’ll take Senator Gallego up on his idea to recruit Bad Bunny.
Their flagship TV show, “AEW Dynamite,” airs on Wednesday nights.
