Parts of Keuka Road closed in Putnam County due to smoke, dense fog

Some bus service areas will be affected by the road closures, according to the Putnam County School District.

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. – Some parts of Keuka Road in Putnam County were closed early Friday due to smoke and dense fog in the area, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said the road is currently closed between West Strickland and Como. All other areas are open, but there is reduced visibility.

“Please go slow and plan extra time. We are monitoring for any changes,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a Facebook post.

As a result, there will be interruptions to bus service in areas affected by the road closures, according to the Putnam County School District.

All schools are open, the district said.

“We are continuing to monitor conditions closely and will provide updates as information becomes available,” the district wrote.
