Man arrested, accused of fatally shooting his father at Jacksonville home

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was arrested and accused of fatally shooting his father on Friday at a Jacksonville home, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
Officials said just before 5 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a home on Grant Street off Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and found Michael Johnson, 50, with a gunshot wound.
Detectives interviewed witnesses at the home and quickly identified David Johnson, Michael Johnson’s son, as the shooter.
Just after midnight on Saturday, David Johnson was arrested and accused of his father’s murder.
