JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office released the identity and photo of the man wanted in connection with the deadly shooting of a 2-year-old boy after a domestic dispute on Sunday.

Police are looking for 21-year-old Steven Dodson Jr., who they said was involved in the domestic dispute at the Valencia Way Apartments, formerly Eureka Gardens, on Labelle Street that led to the deadly shooting of 2-year-old A’mahri Robinson.
After the shooting, police said Dodson ran from the scene. JSO officers, along with the U.S. Marshals, are looking for Dodson to arrest him and charge him with murder.
When arrested, police said Dodson would face murder, attempted murder and chilld endangerment and other charges.
According to court documents obtained by News4JAX, Dodson was sentenced to 20 months in prison for robbery in October 2024 for a December 2022 incident on 103rd Street.
Dodson had a lengthy criminal history dating back to 2023, when he was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge.
He was also arrested on charges of unlicensed carrying a concealed firearm, resisting an officer without violence and other charges in June 2024.
