Baptist Medical Center Beaches rolls out red carpet for returning mama duck and babies
JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – Every spring, Baptist Medical Center Beaches in Jacksonville Beach gets a very special — and very feathered — visitor.
A mama duck has made the hospital’s Labor & Delivery courtyard her go-to nesting spot, returning year after year to welcome her newest brood into the world. This year, she arrived with about a dozen ducklings in tow, once again charming the staff who have come to look forward to her annual appearance.
The hospital team didn’t let the occasion pass without celebration. Staff rolled out the red carpet — literally — giving the mama duck and her ducklings a VIP sendoff fit for any new mother leaving Labor & Delivery.
