Vehicle fire blocks lanes of I-75 North before US-41 in Columbia County

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – Emergency crews were on the scene of a crash in Columbia County on I-75 North on Monday afternoon.

As of 3:15 p.m., two right lanes were blocked near mile marker 409, causing traffic backups to extend several miles.

A nearby traffic camera showed what appeared to be a charred semi or box truck near the tree line.

As of 7:30 p.m., the fire appeared to be out, but two right lanes were still blocked.
