According to FHP, the school bus was stopped on Lions Den Drive, facing east, and was waiting to make a left turn onto State Road 121. A Kia van was traveling eastbound on Lions Den Drive directly behind the school bus.
FHP says the driver of the Kia was unaware that traffic had stopped ahead of her and struck the rear of the school bus.
The school bus was carrying a driver, a school aide and five students between the ages of 7 and 11 at the time of the crash. No one in either vehicle was injured.
The Kia’s driver, a 41-year-old MacClenny woman, was cited for careless driving.
