JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office investigators are searching for a suspect following a robbery at a Chase Bank on Atlantic Boulevard Saturday afternoon.
JSO said patrol officers were dispatched to the bank at 1515 Atlantic Blvd. at approximately 1:30 p.m. in reference to a bank robbery.

“What we have determined is the suspect entered the bank and demanded money from the teller,” JSO said.
“The teller complied and provided the suspect with an unknown amount of money. The suspect then fled the bank on foot in a northern direction, toward downtown.”
Investigators describe the suspect as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately 6 feet 5 inches tall, with a neatly trimmed brown beard. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black hoodie, green pants and black shoes, and was carrying a blue backpack.
“The suspect didn’t display a firearm during the robbery, but we consider him armed and dangerous,” JSO said. “We ask if anyone sees this individual to contact JSO immediately and do not approach him.”
Robbery and Violent Crime investigators, along with Crime Scene detectives, are on scene conducting the initial investigation. The FBI has also been notified of the incident.
