JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 42-year-old woman was arrested Saturday after animal care officers seized nine dogs and three cats from a home and accused her of multiple counts of animal cruelty, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
Officers went to a residence on Beaverbrook Place after an initial complaint on Oct. 20, 2025, alleging the animals were being neglected and abused. Animal Care and Protective Services responded and found dogs in wire crates, barking and howling, and a “heavy odor of feces” coming from the home, the report said.
