St Augustine, FLA – Chris Shee, founder of MasterCraft Builder Group, is the PosJAX winner for April.
He’s being recognized for using his success, resources and community connections to make a real impact across Northeast Florida — especially for women, children and young people in need.

His motto is simple: If I have it, I’m going to give it away.
Building More Than Homes
Shee made his name in the building industry, co-founding MasterCraft Builder Group in 2011. But today, his focus is less about construction — and more about community.
“I really believe God has given me resources and success so that I can recycle them and give them back,” Shee said. “It’s what we do here on earth that really makes the biggest impact, and I want to make sure I make a big impact.”
That impact is already taking shape.
At the Alpha Omega Miracle Home campus, Shee is helping bring a new housing community to life — 20 units with 52 bedrooms designed for women and children experiencing homelessness.
“It’s crazy to me that we live in such a wealthy county… and we have women that are sleeping in cars, sleeping on park benches,” Shee said. “It just breaks my heart. And I know I can’t fix it all over, but I’m going to try to fix it here in our hometown.”
The goal is not just shelter — but stability, dignity and a fresh start.
Creating Opportunities for the Next Chapter
Shee is also supporting projects aimed at young people transitioning into independence.
At St. Augustine Youth Services, he’s helping build an Independent Living Village — a space where young men aging out of care can take their next steps while still having support nearby.
It’s part of a broader mission: meeting people where they are and helping them move forward.
A Platform for Giving Back
Beyond construction, Shee and his wife use their property, Heritage Farms’ Tringali Barn, as a hub for community giving.
Roughly half of the events hosted there benefit nonprofits — raising millions of dollars over the years through events like Clays for a Cause and Concerts for a Cause.
“We’ve raised millions of dollars in this barn, and I want to continue using it to serve the community and give back,” Shee said.
A Commitment to Inclusion
Shee has also been a longtime supporter of Best Buddies, an organization that creates opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. His involvement earned him a Hometown Hero Award, recognizing his continued advocacy and support.
Leading With Purpose
Inside one of the housing projects he supports, messages of encouragement and scripture are built into the space — even within the foundation itself — as a reminder to future residents that they are valued and not alone.
For Shee, the mission is deeply personal.
“The Bible tells us to help orphans and widows in distress,” he said. “To me, that’s women and children. And that’s what I do.”
A Call to Action
Shee says giving back doesn’t require wealth — just willingness.
“You just have to step into faith,” he said. “Set the distractions of the world aside, focus on helping others… and just start. I’m telling you, it will make your life so much more fulfilling.”
Through his work, Chris Shee is proving that success isn’t just measured by what you build — but by who you lift up along the way.
