Pontoon boat capsizes on St. Johns River near Satsuma

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. – A boat crash on the St. Johns River sent three people into the water after a pontoon boat capsized near Satsuma.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit and Putnam County Fire-Rescue marine units responded to a call near Marker 25 after reports of the capsizing. Nearby boaters pulled all three people from the water before first responders arrived.

The pontoon boat was towed to a nearby private dock. No injuries were reported.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating the crash.
