Funnel cloud seen on Jacksonville’s Northside as storms rolled through

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – As storms rolled through Jacksonville Thursday, a viewer captured what appears to be a funnel cloud over the city’s Northside near North Main Street and Eastport Road.

Chief Meteorologist Richard Nunn reviewed the video and said there appeared to be rotation, but the funnel cloud never touched the ground.

The sighting was reported to the National Weather Service around 4 p.m.
