By 8:45 a.m., deputies announced the man was in custody.

The police activity also triggered a “secure status” for Keystone Heights Junior Senior High School.

A message from the district explained that a secure status means everyone will be brought inside and all outside doors will be locked. They asked parents not to come to the school during the lock out.
