St. Augustine Beach Police cancel planned teen takeover at pier on Thursday

ST. AUGUSTINE BEACH, Fla. – The St. Augustine Beach Police Department said that it canceled a teen takeover planned at the pier on Thursday at 2 p.m.

Officials said the planned event was not permitted and there will be an enhanced police presence at the pier Thursday afternoon.

“While we welcome and encourage everyone to enjoy our community and beaches, any unlawful gathering, criminal activity, or disturbance of the peace will be met with immediate enforcement action,” the department said in a Facebook post.
