JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man who was shot eight times Sunday night outside a food store in the Panama Park neighborhood is expected to be OK, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Police said they were called around 8:45 p.m. to Buffalo Avenue after reports that a man had been shot.

Officers found a man in his early 20s with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was taken to a local hospital by his girlfriend. Police said he was shot eight times in the side, hand, lower back and thigh, but his injuries were not life-threatening.
Investigators said the man was at the Buffalo Food Store on Buffalo Avenue when two men, who were with a woman that the victim knows, came up to the victim and shot at him.
The shooters ran off and have not been caught.
Detectives with the Robbery and Violent Crime Unit were actively interviewing witnesses, canvassing for surveillance video, and following up on investigative leads.
