BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. – Two suspects are still being sought in Bradford County after running from a Florida Highway Patrol traffic stop near Murray Ford on US-301, according to the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were first called to assist the Florida Highway Patrol after the suspects fled the traffic stop in the Sampson City area. Authorities described the suspects as two Hispanic males — one wearing a blue shirt and black pants, and the second wearing a white shirt and khaki pants with a rose tattoo on his left hand.

Residents in the Sampson City area were initially urged not to approach the suspects.
“If you see these individuals, DO NOT APPROACH and call 911 immediately,” the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office said in an earlier statement.
As of the most recent update, all lanes of US-301 have reopened and traffic is flowing normally. However, a large law enforcement presence remains between the South Bypass Interchange and County Road 227 as the search continues.
“We are asking residents to stay alert and if you see something suspicious please do not approach and call 911,” the sheriff’s office said.
The search involves a broad multi-agency response, drawing cooperation from the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Union Correctional Institution and the Florida Highway Patrol.
“We appreciate the collaboration between our law enforcement partners with Alachua County, Putnam County, the Union Correctional Institution, and the Florida Highway Patrol,” officials said.
