The plane's occupants reported the landing gear malfunctioned

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – A small plane was forced to make an emergency landing on its belly Monday at Northeast Florida Regional Airport in St. Augustine, authorities said.
According to St. Johns County Fire Rescue, multiple crews were called to the airport at some point Monday morning after the plane's two occupants reported its landing gear was malfunctioning.

There were no injuries or spills reported at the scene, the fire department said.
