Nassau County names new fire chief

Former JFRD Division Chief Brady Rigdon selected for position

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. – A former Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department division chief will become the new Nassau County fire chief, according to county officials.

Megan Sawyer with the Nassau County Office of Management and Budget told News4Jax that the fire chief position was offered to Brady Rigdon, who accepted the job Monday afternoon.

His annual salary will be $90,326.12. 

Rigdon's start date has not been set. He will have to go through the new fire process, which could take more than two weeks, Sawyer said.
