The teenagers who killed three people at a San Diego mosque met online and shared a broad hatred toward different religions and races, according to investigators.
Authorities say they uncovered writings by the suspects - a manifesto, if you will -- but they didn’t specify what ideologies or views the shooters expressed.
Police also recovered 30 firearms and a crossbow from two residences searched by investigators.
The FBI and San Diego’s police chief all credited the security guard and two others (the three who were killed) with saving lives and making sure that school safety protocols were in place once the suspects moved in.
Richard Kolco, a former FBI Special Agent who specialized in security and intelligence operations, joined us on The Morning Show to explain how the security guard’s training was proven effective by the fact that students and teachers remained safe.
