Robbers Hit Two More Fast-Food Restaurants

Police Look For Similarities To Other Recent Holdups

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Three fast-food robberies have police investigating whether these crimes -- and other restaurant robberies over the last couple of months -- are connected.

Two holdups happened less than an hour apart Tuesday night.

The first robbery occurred about 11:30 p.m. at the McDonald's on the corner of Normandy Boulevard and Lane Avenue. Police said a man with a gun entered the restaurant as the staff was cleaning up for the night. No one was hurt.

Just after midnight, almost 5 miles away, the Burger King in the 7200 block of 103rd Street was held up in a similar manner.

On Monday night, a McDonald's in the 2700 block of Monument Road was robbed.

Police told Channel 4 they are looking into the possibility that these robberies could all be connected.

They also won't comment on whether these are related to the three fast-food restaurants holdups in a 10-day period in late January that remain unsolved.
