Saphira, the 10 yo red, is not a rescue. She was a gift. She has all the husky attitude, mouth, and spirit, though her activity us greatly decreased now due to medical issues. Balto, the 13 yo black husky, is a rescue from a private rescue here in FL. He is an abuse survivor. It took 3 years for him to fully trust us, but he was the humblest and most affectionate boy ever. He was the only rescue of 6 that was not under 1 when we adopted him. He was around 5 years old. He unfortunately crossed that bridge.
