Wolfson Children’s Telethon has raised over $1M since it began

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Since New4JAX began teaming up with Wolfson Children’s Hospital for our annual telethon, more than $1 million has been raised.

After this year’s 12-hour telethon, where News4JAX, community volunteers, and business partners joined forces to raise money for the hospital, the cumulative total was pushed to $1,003,699.

Tens of thousands of dollars were raised in just one day, providing a reflection of how giving this community is, especially when it comes to children.

Wolfson hopes that generosity and community spirit continue on Saturday for the annual Wolfson Children’s Challenge, a run and walk at the Winston Family YMCA in Riverside.

The family-friendly event offers kid-approved activities and entertainment.

The Kids Village is open from 7:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
