Rashean Mathis tears ACL; out for year

Rashean Mathis on End Zone

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jaguars cornerback Rashean Mathis' knee injury is more serious than previously thought. The Jacksonville native will miss the rest of the year with a torn ACL suffered Sunday in Indianapolis.

Mathis hurt his left knee in the second quarter of the Jaguars' 17-3 win over the Colts. The injury happened away from the play and there was no contact involved. Mathis just planted his leg and his knee gave out.
