It’s not just the ticket that’s going to cost you if you’re planning on going to the Super Bowl. Hotels and flights will be more expensive than usual on Super Bowl weekend.
This year the Super Bowl will be at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. That is where the San Francisco 49ers play their home games.

TripAdviser looked at average hotel and flight prices for people planning to see the big game in person. When it comes to hotels, staying close to the Stadium could cost fans upwards of $1,000 per night. There are some more affordable options 30 miles away from the stadium. The average hotel price in Santa Cruz is $273, according to TripAdviser. You can get a room in Oakland for about $286 a night. South San Francisco’s average hotel price is $411 for Super Bowl weekend. Pleasanton and San Bruno both have hotels for about $300 a night. Pleasanton’s average is slightly lower, coming in at $319. San Bruno is $366. All of these cities are about 30 miles from Levi’s Stadium.
When it comes to airfare, Oakland looks like the least expensive airport for fans to fly into. The average national roundtrip fare to Oakland International Airport is $243. For Monterey Regional Airport it’s $299. Then the price goes way up for fans flying into San Francisco or San Jose. The average roundtrip rate to San Francisco International Airport is $600. It’s $716 for Mineta San Jose International Airport.
Super Bowl 50 will be played on February 7. Kick-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
