The race is host the USA 15K National Championship for the 23rd consecutive year. That means there will be a world-class field at the event.

The race has the largest U.S. purse outside of a major marathon or half marathon. There's more than $85,000 in total prize money, according to event organizers. The first person to cross the finish line will win $5,000. There's also a $1,000 prize for the man and woman who run the fastest in the last mile of the course.

The race benefits 14 local charities.

The race will start on Gator Bowl Boulevard and finish on the north side of EverBank Field. That's a different finish line than last year, but the same finish line that was used from 2009-2013.

There will be lots of training tips and other coverage leading up to the evenit, with live coverage of the 15K on The Morning Show and highlights and complete results here on News4Jax.com.
