JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – High school spring sports athletes embarked on the Riverside YMCA this week to talk about their upcoming seasons. The High School 9:12 promotion has been held several years and is always one of the top kickoff events for athletes entering their season.
Some of the top spring sports athletes who attended were Creekside running stars Alyson Johnson and Christian Miller, both reigning All-News4JAX athletes of the year. First Coast baseball catcher Hunter Carns, a Florida State signee and reigning player of the year, is a potential Major League Baseball draft pick. Raines two-sport star Solomon Thomas, a Florida State football commit, is the defending Class 2A state champ in the discus.
