Edward Waters begins search for new AD after Ivana Rich-Leitner steps down

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Edward Waters University athletic director Ivana Rich-Leitner has resigned from the college, the school announced on Wednesday.

Rich-Leitner spent three years with the Tigers and was the school’s 10th athletic director, although the first woman to hold the position at the university. Rich-Leitner arrived at EWU in 2022 and helped the school as it made its transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II membership.

The school said in a release that it would begin a national search to find Rich-Leitner’s replacement. Deputy athletic director Ashley Conner and former Lane College athletic director Derrick Burroughs will serve as interim co-vice presidents for intercollegiate athletics.

Rich-Leitner’s final day is Sept. 1.
