Fundraiser helps garner over $100K for Sanford FSU linebacker fighting for life after shooting

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A GoFundMe launched after a Florida State linebacker from Sanford was shot has amassed over one hundred thousand dollars toward his recovery.

Ethan Pritchard, a 6-foot-2, 224-pound freshman, was in critical but stable condition, according to the GoFundMe.

He was in intensive care at a Tallahassee-area hospital. He was shot Aug. 31 while inside a vehicle outside apartments in Havana, according to the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office.

Our sister station WKMG reported that he was shot in the head.

As of Sunday, the GoFundMe raised $122,675 toward its $130,000 goal.
