High school volleyball ‘25: Harvest Community reaches state semis; BK, Beachside out in 3rd round

The high school volleyball season began Monday.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Only one local high school volleyball team remains alive in the state playoffs.

Harvest Community’s sweep of Redeemer Christian on Tuesday night sent the Warriors (21-9) on to next week’s Class 1A state final four at Polk State College.

Beachside pushed reigning state champion Tallahassee Chiles to the brink, but the Timberwolves pulled away late for a 15-9 win in the decisive fifth game to win the Region 1-5A final on Wednesday night. Chiles persevered for a 20-25, 25-9, 23-25, 25-11, 15-9 win to end Beachside’s season at 26-4.

In Region 1-4A, top-seeded South Walton ended Bishop Kenny’s season 3-1 (17-25, 25-20, 25-12, 25-20) to keep the Crusaders from a state semifinal berth. Kenny’s season ends at 19-11.
