The Bishop Kenny girls continued their cross country dominance, winning their third consecutive state championship on a blockbuster morning in Tallahassee for local teams.
The Crusaders were one of five local teams to bring home state titles. They joined the Providence boys and girls who swept Class 1A, the Bolles boys in Class 2A, and the Creekside girls in 4A.

Bishop Kenny’s Taylor Lawhon was state runner-up in 18:26, with teammates Camila Giles (18:48.1), Alexis Wilson (18:49), and Olivia Lumpkin (18:59.9) joining her inside the top 10. Bolles was runner-up to Bishop Kenny, with eighth-place finisher Kavya Patel (18:59.9) the top Bulldogs runner. Episcopal was third as a team, led by third-place individual Kate Brice (18:36.8).
The Bolles boys won their third team championship since 2022 and ninth overall, moving in front of Bishop Kenny for the most titles by a local team in state history. The Bulldogs got a seventh-place individual finish from Arrian Sharma (16:19.3)
The Creekside girls won their second straight team title and third overall. Eva Delaney (18:21.1) was the top Creekside finisher in seventh. For the Providence girls, Sara Palmer’s 19:57.5 led the Stallions. She finished in 19th place overall. The Providence boys got a state runner-up finish from Sean Cunningham (15:47.8), a third from Charles Loftin (15:50), and a fourth from Harrison Kozlowski (15:54.9) to power their first team title.
